December 5,2012 (annual Toy Drive, bring an unwrapped toy for less fortunate kids of the Pomona Valley)
Twilight Cruise admission is free, and all in attendance may visit the Museum at no charge. The cruises feature the Celebrity Picks, great raffle prizes and a huge 50/50 drawing. Vehicles chosen by our celebrity selectors win the opportunity to parade down the Auto Club Pomona Raceway on Sunday morning during the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Winternationals in February.
Food and beverages are available. It’s a fun evening and a great chance to see some of the coolest cars in Southern California, so please join us. All proceeds generated by the 50/50 drawing go to support the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California.

If something needs to be done, it may as well be done with a little style. That was the thinking behind building this ‘48 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Woodie owned by the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Having a lot of pomp and circumstance surrounding the winner’s trophy presentation has a long and storied history (mostly involving cute trophy girls giving the winner a kiss; it’s a tradition we wholeheartedly support, by the way).
Building a custom car is a pretty tall order. Add to that mix the fact that the car is a ‘53 Cadillac roughly the size of a city bus and the job gets exponentially harder. Then add to that a dark paint color that shows every ripple and imperfection and the job becomes nearly impossible for a mere mortal. But that is what Johnny Hollyday wanted, so he called around and finally found a shop with enough confidence to take on the task, American Hot Rods in Anaheim, California.
A boy’s dream later becomes a man’s reality. We all had our favorites in high school whether it was cars, girls, food or sports. If you didn’t marry your high school sweetheart, become a five-star chef or have success as a professional athlete, then the only dream left was your high school fantasy car.
