Summer Cruise Night has become a much-anticipated event in Long Beach, California. The warm evening was perfect for the event, and the generous people at Performance Plus Tires really go all out. They provided a great barbecue, live music, a castle jumper for kids, classic car show, raffles, prizes and a 50/50 drawing all in a family-friendly environment. At about 6 p.m. a helicopter flew over to take pictures—too cool!
The 7th annual Dragster Expo and Car Show was held on Atlantic Avenue in Bixby Knolls, California. The event attracted hundreds of hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and thousands of spectators from all over SoCal. This year’s event featured the BMX PROS Stunt Team, who showed off their big air maneuvers on the vert and street ramps, and performed a few flat land tricks. Show-goers were also treated to live music, food trucks, lifestyle merchants and high-performance vendors.
It’s amazing how the custom car and truck scenes evolve in cycles. Retro customs have become a popular style. They’re timeless with their candy, pearl, metallic and metal flake colors, and they’re highlighted with flames, scallops and pinstripes. Retro customs have a lowered stance and roll on simple wheels and tires, with wide whites optional.
